an escape gone sour.
[Pearl may not eat, but she can follow a recipe, at least - it's something she's done for Steven countless times, and now does for Lemony fairly often. She likes to do things for him, and there's something surprisingly calming about preparing meals, despite not eating them.
Usually, at least. She's in the middle of cooking Tuesday's dinner when she takes a moment to check her tablet, and comes across news that rocks her to her core. She's in shock as she discusses this on the network, and then tries to carry on with dinner preparation. Not five minutes later, however, the sound of a plate shattering against the floor can be heard.]
